Vienna Ensemble Pro Demo

Hi I want to try out Vienna Ensemble Pro to determine whether I want to purchase the software. I have been emailed the VSL order confirmation with the activation code. I have downloaded and installed both the eLicenser Control Center and Vienna Ensemble Pro. I enter the activation code into the eLicenser control centre and it than asks me to select an eLicenser. Do I have to purchase an eLicenser dongle to use the demo? Or am I doing something wrong to install it? Thanks Aaron

Yes, unless the dongle is plugged into a USB port, the software won't work.

I would like to try it out before I have to buy a dongle that I might not need? Is this possible? If not the reason why I am trying out the software is to see if it will run A.I.R plugins and or other protools factory plugins?

Hello Guerillaguru,

PT plug-ins (RTAS) will only work in Pro Tools, by design. You can run AU plug-in (OS X) or VST plug-ins (WIN) in VE PRO.
