Depending on the host buffer size, 0 latency can be preferable. In general, using a latency setting that is lower than your sound card buffer size (Latency 256 when runniung 512 buffers) will give you worse performance than using 0 latency. Using higher latencies than your soundcard buffer will lower CPU usage.
