  • Vienna Ensemble feature suggestion regarding network

It just occurred to me that sometimes I will be loading up a project or a template which includes several instances of VEP on one or more slave PC's, and the slaves will be turned off. Obviously VEP can't connect to those instances, but what I would suggest is that when you save that project (in Logic, Cubase or whatever), the information about what the instances should connect to, be preserved so that if I turn on my slaves and reload the project, they will connect to the slave instances just fine. As far as I know, as it is now, you have  to manually re-assign each VEP instance when you have saved a project where the connections could not be established.

What would be even better of course would be if VEP would somehow discover if the slaves come online and automatically connect to them. I realize that is probably not possible since it would require some constant monitoring of the network and I am not even sure the AU/VST standard could make this happen automatically.
