Hi -
I am very new at this so please bear with me. I have an extensive hybrid orchestral template I built in Nuendo for doing trailer music, cues, etc. My template has numerous VST instruments pre loaded, and I can use them as multi-timbre instruments. I bought VEP to use as a host to avoid loading my VSTs in Nuendo to save on resources - although I have a pretty fast system (Windows 7 64bit, 16 GBs RAM etc).
Here is what I am doing:
Open VEP Server 64bit > Load a VSTi, say Kontakt > Go to Nuendo > Load VSTi Plugin of VEP Pro 64bit > setup 16 midi tracks with individual channels
I want to be able to utilize different instruments such as violins etc on different midi channels and tracks via Kontakt say using LA Scoring Strings
I cannot seem to get it to work. VEP allows me a midi port and channel per VSTi instance; however, I need to trigger multiple channels within a Kontakt instance.
I have read the manual but found it unclear in this area.
Do I need to use rewire or some other virtual midi port like midi yoke or something.
What am I doing wrong?
HELP! LOL :)
Mike
