Hi to the forum,
I am hoping that someone has the knowledge and is willing to share how to create the three different depths one needs - front for strings, middle for woodwind, rear for brass and percussion - using the Hybrid reverb. I have the Vienna Suite, with the Hybrid reverb, so I am really interested to see if this is possible.
If it can be done, how does one do this?

One simple tip: adjust the balance dry/wet... but that's not really the whole story..

I will update Tutorial 2009 during the coming days of July.
It needs an addition with the hybrid reverb and also one with VIPro.
As far as I can see: No problem to integrate a section "How to create depths with Hybrid".
Nevertheless, there is a problem: You need to be patient... [:)]
Therefore a word of comfort: The update will be for free for current owners... [:)]

In the updated Vienna Suite version with the Hybrid version, there are some near, far and medium versions of the Teldex Studio's and some Far and near reverbs of some other halls. I believe I'm guessing correctly that the near, medium and far reverbs of the Teldex Studio are the equivilent of a 3 depth setting of the Teldex hall [ie, Strings near, woodwind middle, brass and percussion for the far version]. Am I correct here?

Yes - and no. I'm just working for updating the tutorial 2009 for this point...
But take your ears for that and not the indications...
Try the following so far.
1. Route a dry signal through Hybrid (pizzicatos)
2. Mute the direct signal (dry).
3. Mute the "tail signal".
4. Try now the ER-sound of several rooms and halls. You will recognize that some of them "give" a real far distance and some others produce another (unclear) impression.
5. Take the one you like most (distance) and add now some tail (as you like it) so that the tail doesn't take the lead.
This is now the farthest distance you will get with this certain IR. As you can make out: The tail enhances the reached distance even more.
6. Now you can release the "mute" for the dry signal as well. Increase the dry signal and you will get several distances - just by changing the dry/wet ratio.
