I've noticed lately that VE Pro is locking out the mac finder when I drag and drop a metafile. I can't use the finder at all - it's like the finder is waiting for the VE PRO to confirm it "has" the file. I cannot drag and drop to other apps either, so clearly finder is being completely locked out here... Just thought I would pass that on.
