  • VE Pro loading Kontakt 3 instead of Kontakt 4

    On a slave computer, I've recently upgraded to Kontakt 4 and am trying to open my old VE Pro Projects and Metaframes which were made while I used Kontakt 3.5. Both Kontakt 3 and and Kontakt 4 vsts are in the proper folder.

    When I launch one of my old VE Pro Projects, how do I get VE Pro to open the project using the Kontakt 4 vst? Is that possible? it should be... I hope! [:O]

    At present, the Projects and Metaframes open with Kontakt 3 automatically. (But with totally new projects that I create, of course I have the option to start with Kontakt 4 to add as an instrument in the first place)

    Do I have to rebuild all those Projects from the ground up?

    VE Pro, Logic, or any host is going to load what you have saved. Kontakt 3 and Kontakt 4 are two different AUs. The host does not see them as an upgrade the way 3 > 3.5 is. It is a different to the host as Kontakt and Omnisphere are.
