  • Help with auto divisi

Hi, How can I be sure that the different notes in a chord get distributed to the correct instrument? As an example, if I have a mixed group of woodwinds with bassoon as my bass voice, when I play a 4 note chord sometimes the bassoon plays the tenor part and the clarinet plays the bass. I can't seem to find a way to ensure that the bassoon is always my lowest voice. Seems to me that the auto divisi feature is limited to similar instruments only because it's harder to tell if the voices jump around. MOH

  • It's based on the time the note is played.  Click this and watch the auto voicing video.  It is perfectly explained and demo'd there.
