Anyone else had this problem or know a solution?
I've switched to using a PC slave instead of Mac. Most of my projects (in Cubase) open VE Pro and all the plugins and presets fine on the new PC, apart from Kontakt. When I load up an old Cubase project (in which VE Pro was running on a Mac), it cannot find Kontakt 4, and therefore I've lost any presets that were tweaked and stored along with the Cubase Project, and also I've lost any Kontakt presets that were stored as vstpresets (in Cubase).
ANYWAY. The problem seems to be that the Mac plugin is called Kontakt4 (no space) while the PC plugin is called Kontakt 4 (with a space).
It seems a pain. Any idea if there's a workaround, or if VSL can fix this problem, for example by looking for 'Kontakt4' if it can't find 'Kontakt 4' and vice versa...
Maybe the problem is that Mac plugins are AU and PC plugins are VST and therefore it just won't work. But maybe it could, with a bit of tweaking and mapping of one plug to the other...
