    Is there any reason to be concerned about sending audio over LAN? Is it "bit perfect"? What about jitter?

    There is absolutly no difference in sound quality. No data compression. It's just a digital bus like usb and firewire. BTW it works only on gigabit ethernet wich is as fast as some external hard drives. 

    Your sequencer should keep everything synced and in phase and your sequencer should compensate for latency if needed. If it's what you meen by jitter(?)
