    I really hope someone can help me with this! I have had VSL Special Edition now for nearly 2 and half years, and all of a sudden my Saxophone presets have just vanished! I am currently writing a piece for Sax quartet which is due in a matter of weeks, so this could not have come at a worse time! I have tried removing and putting back the directory in directory manager, and I have updated both the vienna player and license manager and nothing seems to fix it! Please, someone help me!! :(! EDIT: Also just realised that I am missing all the Appassionata Strings, Chamber Strings and the electric guitar and concert guitar, Flute 2, horn ensemble A8, and all the muted instruments, There are probably more, but I cant remember all the presets! This is quite a lot to lose!

    It sounds like you were running in demo mode for the Extended part of your library and that's now run out. Did you ever purchase  the Extended? If so did you download the licence to your dongle?

    All the missing instruments are in the extended library, so I guess you have registered only the standard library. The vienna key comes with demo licencers for ALL instruments so you probably have used the saxophones in demo-mode, which now (after 180 starts) has expired. So you will either have to buy the extended library of the special edition to continue to use the saxophones (and the other missing instruments), or, if it's just the saxophones you need, buy them as download-instruments.

    I only have the standard library, so your probably right! Ah how annoying! I dont have the funds to purchase the extended library, and I don't really want to buy the Saxophones on their own, as they are still really expensive! I guess the Logic Saxophones will have to do then, but what a step down 😞!

    Hello Yamazaki,

    I have just sent a demo license for your Extended Library, to help with your decision - you can upgrade anytime later on as well. 

    The demo license will work for 30 days and 30 starts, you can "re-charge" the start within these 30 days by clicking "Validate License Usage Periods" in the eLicenser Control Center.

    Thank you so much for that! I love the vienna instruments, but money is tight for a student film composer! On that note, does VSL offer student discount yet? I would be very interested in the extended library if us students got a discount? Cheers
