I am using Play engines a lot, and recently began using VE Pro, but I am confused about how to get each of the instruments I have in a Play Multi routed to separate outs that can be seen in Pro Tools.
I assign for instance: Vln I to MIDI 1, Vin II to MIDI 2, Vla to MIDI 3 and Cello to MIDI 4 in Play. I assign the outs within Play to each instrument so Vln I goes to Out 1-2, Vln II to Out 3-4 etc.
The Channel in VE Pro is assigned either to a Master Bus or to a set of Net1/2 through Net 31/32 Outs.
In Pro Tools I assign a MIDI Track to drive each instrument in the Play Multi, which works. But on an Aux Track in Pro Tools I see the various PlugIn Outs from VE Pro but they do not correspond to the Play internal Output assignments.
Must I assign each instrument to a separate channel in VEPro? Or (most likely) I am missing something...
