  • Suddenly missing patches

    Hi all,

suddenly patches seem to be missing in VI Pro, same in the VI std. player. Since i was not working with the VSL libs a while i cannot say if this was introduced by e.g. some software install. I installed the Komplete package lately that iirc contains some VSL samples, maybe this is the error source.

I reinstalled Special Edition, Special Edition Plus and Epic Orchestra Samples once again and ran the Directory Manager several times, including removal and adding of the folders that it scans. Unfortunately i had still no luck with finding the Samples.

A few samples that are missing are:

    • 05S VI-6 legato
    • 15S VA-4 legato
    • 35S VC-3 legato
    • 35S DB-2 legato

I don't know which other samples are missing specifically, except for the upper ones, but maybe this gives you a good starting point why i am missing these libraries.

    I am running Logic Express 9.1.3 64-Bit, VE Pro v4.1.8008 64-bit, VI Pro v1.1.8008 64-bit on Mac OS 10.6.7.

Can anybody help me solve this problem?

    Thanks,
    Jens

  •  Are all the missing ones part of the Extended library? If so, then I would suggest that there is no Extended licence on your dongle.

  • I never had the extended library. I have the SE + SE Plus + Epic Orchestra libraries and the respective licenses on the eLicenser.

The patches were once present, so how can this be that they "disappear" all of a sudden?

And thanks for replying by the way!

  • The missing Chamber Strings patches are all part of the Extended library, which you were using in a time limited demo mode. Now the demo time has run out. If you want to use these patches, you will have to purchase them.

  • Thank you so much for clarifying. I wasn't really aware that the samples were being pulled from that extended library part, i guess it's just too easy to use :)

  •  If you look at the product information it should help to clarify what is Standard and what is Extended.
