How to find the Download manager ?
I am new to VSL and I have never used a system like this to install a sample library, I think I have followed the download link I got in a email from vsl, but it route me to a .pdf download site and not to a software download site. One interesting thing I can read is this: •Our Vienna Download Manager that handles the download and installation routine safely and conveniently, including the Download Manager Files and a Manual. If I undestand this correctly, then I shall download a download manager program and run it, inorder to download my library, is this correct ? if yes, where can I find this program ?, I have tried in the search area, but only get some links to this forum. Please help, I don´t undestand how to use the vsl site. kind regards Sebastian

Welcome Sebastian [:)],
Please make sure that you are logged in, then follow the instructions you find on this Download page.
You will find a Download Manager including a manual there, plus your Download Manager File for the Glass Instruments Standard Library AND the Library manual for the Glass Instruments.
There´s a quick guide on top of the page that should get you started - the Download Manager Manual is more elaborate and also contains screenshots.
Hope that helps,
Paul

Ok, I did find the software after some searching and I did also manage to undestand how this is working by downloading a small file witch I should find in the download manager software and then the download began. To me this is not a customer friendly way to handle a purchase, I guess all this jumping is a way to safe your products against illegal copyieng, I would have preferred the download link in the mail has taken me directly to the download manager page and to the instrument download file, in here there could have been a short explanation on how to do it and in what order to do it in. Hello Sebastian,
Your confirmation mail should have led you to the User Area Overview page, where the structure of the User Area is explained, including a link to the Download Instruments page (under "3").
As you will also need our sample player software and possibly want to check out additional files, we actually thought that this will be a good place to start your VSL journey on. The Download Manager alone will not be of any use to you, if the Vienna Instruments or Vienna Ensemble Software is not installed.
Best,
Paul

Thanks Poul, I am up and running and the instrument sounds very good. I do have one more question, and that is if its possible for the player to auto load a instrument at start up. The glass harmonica is going to be used in a Strauss opera where we start rehaesels next week and I would like to have a computer in the pit autoloading the player and the player autoloading the instrument. Best Sebastian
