Hi folks,
I've just made a switch to a Mac 6-core 10.6.6 Cubase 5 sequencer from a windows 7 machine and on installing VEP I'm getting an empty 'Available Slaves' window in the plugin. I grabbed the latest installer for the mac and 2 Windows 7 64bit slaves which was build 7644 and found that the plugin window was empty (for both network and local hosts), but connected to the slave machines and working fine. The VEP metaframes on the slave PC's are sayng they're connected to the Mac at the right IP.
I quickly rolled all the machines back to the older build availabe 6853 to find the exact same problem. My Cubase 5.5.2 template opens and the 3 x VEP plugins open Conneted and functional, but that window empty. This obviously stops me from expanding my palette on any of the machines.
I tried opening Cubase with the VEP plugin on the Windows 7 PC and the Available Slaves window is normal (seeing the local host and the other windows PC), but it won't see the Mac server. So I'm thinking that the problem could be in networking permissions cross-platform.... although that doesn't explain how I'm connected from the Mac plugin with the window empty - can anyone help please?!
Many thanks
Tony
