  • Under standing soundsets.

Hi - I am considering the purchase of Sibelius and I would like to understand soundsets. I looked at one of the videos but it mostly covered how to set-up Sibelius to use the soundsets.

I have Notion and SE and SE Plus. As many of you may know, Notion allows me to apply notated articulations in my score and have the associated SE articulation triggered. Is this what a soundset does for Sibleius?

    Thank you

    Patrick

  • Hi Patrick!

You answered your own question.  [;)]

Yes, the sound sets are responsible for switching to the right articulations according to your notation marks.

    Best regards,

  •  Thanks Andi - Who develops the soundsets. VSL or Sibelius?

  • The Special Edition and SE PLUS sound sets were made by Sibelius and VSL, all the other sound sets were solely made by us.

    Best,
    Andi
