I really do hope you decide to make expression maps for VSL. This is one of the top selling points for me and I'm sure for a lot of Cubase users. Once you tried it, you can't go back. Nowadays, a lot of composers use litteraly tens of different libraries and it becomes a nightmare to remember the keyswitching or going back and forth to your samplers to verify those. This is where VSL really shines - the sound is there and one can really focus on composition which is ultimately the goal.
If you don't, I might just go and do it by myself as well, it's not very hard and there are less articulations than in solo instruments. I just like your way to standartize that technical approach and layout so instead of thinking about that stuff, I let this part be handled by my reflexes and focus on music.
Whatever your decision is (I definitely vote FOR), it's a beautiful library and great production.
