Soprano choir massive clipping error
I don't know if this is the right forum, but... I'm trying to use soprano choir plugin and every time I play a recorded note, the level jumps right up to clipping level then cuts out meaning iI have to reload it to try again. This does not happen while playing notes on my midi keyboard. It happens when I try and export it or play it. Any advice/fixes out there? This used to happen only ocassionally, now it happens every time the first note is played. It seems to only happen on two pieces where I have a few other instruments loaded on other tracks. I exported to midi and tried again - same problem. Any help, or konwledge of helkp would be greatly appreciated. Cubase Essential 5, Windows Vista 64-bit

Hello Jamasia!
I'm not sure if I understand your problem. When you play on a keyboard, everything is ok and when you play a recorded performance, the level is so high, that the sound clips. Then Vienna Instruments closes. Is that right? Seems odd.
I recommend donwloading and installing the latest version of Vienna Instruments. You can find it here:

I think that's the version I already had, but I downloaded and installed it anyway. Still get the same error.
The issue is that yes, it is fine when playing with the stand alone player (32-bit and 64-bit versions), but there are issues with the plugin.
The plugin is fine when played i.e. I load up a blank project and the plugin and it plays fine. It also works fine alongside audio tracks and one or two other midi tracks (One of my projects has 8 audio tracks and a HALionOne track, it works fine there).
When I play along or try to record or play a recorded track through Vienna, the first not clips after about half a second and remains above maximum level for several seconds. Also the channel level (that I see on my Cubase mixer) is above maximum for up to 10 seconds. No further sound can be got out of the plugin unless it is reloaded. Changing the patch does not help. There is no error when no patch is loaded.
I reloaded all my other VSTis after Vienna and it worked fine during playback, but the error occured when I then tried to export it.
Are there any known incompatabilities with other VSTis? I think there may be a compatibility issue with Edirol Orchestral, or at least that's where I think the problems lie. I assume it's Vienna that's the issue, but it may not be.
I have found a work around but it's annoying and shouldn't be necessary.

It's not the best work around - I disable all other instruments and bounce the VI to audio, then disable VI and enable all other instruments. It's messy and and slow but it works.
I will email the support, but I can't see how mailing the project file will help, as it uses fairly few tracks with note and mod information. And it occurs on several projects, but primarily on ones using Edirol Orchestral, so I think that may be part of it.
I will upload a rendering shortly, so I can get your opinions
