  • VEPro 3 licences / ViPro 1

Hi everyone ! My question is pretty simple : when you buy ensemble pro, you get 3 licenses, so that it can work on a network configuration. When you buy vienna instruments pro, you get only one. Does it mean that you have to buy it for each computer ? (I think I know the sad answer, but it's worth asking anyway ^^)

  • Actually, I was asking myself the same thing. I plan to buy the SE and would like to use it and Epic Orchestra with VI Pro on two computers (one computer for the SE and one for the Epic Orchestra). I would just have the license for the SE on the other computer, but would like to use VI Pro on both. So three licenses for the network like with VE Pro would be great.

When I bought VI Pro, it came with 3 licenses, just like VEpro. I have VI pro running on each of my VE Pro slaves.

Did this change? Where did you see that VI Pro is only a single instance license?

  • when you try to purchase vienna ensemble pro, there's a little text message warning you that you will receive 3 licences. The same with vienna suite. There is no such thing with vienna instruments pro. So I'm not sure of anything, but admit it, it's quite strange, isn't it ? I hope it's just a forgotten text message, and not a twisted commercial trick ^^.

  • I read carefully the VIPro description, it's said it comes with 3 licences, so I think it's good. I was so excited about getting it that I skipped the end of the text, presuming that the number of licences would be given just before paying (like vienna ensemble pro and vienna suite). Nevertheless, if someone of the Vienna team could confirm... And correct this little difference between VIPro and the others... It's a bit confusing, since we always are a bit suspicious when it comes to a "business relationship" ^^.

One Vienna Instruments PROpurchase comes with 3 licenses for running the software on up to 3 computers at the same time.

  • yeah, I read that, that's why I think it's good. Nevertheless, using 2 different layout is confusing. This missing information was a bit fishy. Thx for answering !
