Sibelius and VSL in GIG format

Is there any soundset and housestyle for sibelius 6, using symphonic cube and pro performance in gig format? I´m using g-player/maple and not Gigastudio(crashes). Any tutorials on this? thanks

Sorry to say that there is no such sound set. In order to change articulations you will have to use MIDI commands. You can find more about it in the Sibelius reference chapter 4.17.

Hello, thanks for the reply. So it is possible to send keyswitch messages from sibelius to g-player? Meaning, can i load different patches in g-player,(basic set, tremolos set, pizz set...)and change between these sets with a midi keyswitch command? I´ve been checking the ref manual but can´t find the syntax for keyswitch messages. Any example on this? Thanks a lot.

Keyswitches are note on commands. In Sibelius they can be written with the following syntax:
~Nxx,10
xx stands for the pitch. C0=12, C#0=13, C1=24, ...

So i also have to put a note off command after the note on? Strangely some text i write in sibelius can translate to a keyswitch command, like, if i write sfz(sforzando) it changes the patch, but if i write ,for ex, pizz it doesn´t. Maybe i have to do a basic sound set for my composition, i guess... thks

Hi Olecas!

It's not necessary to write the note off command, but it's "cleaner". The syntax for the note off looks like this:
~Oxx,10

Whether commands like sfz or pizz will generate keyswitches or not, depends on the sound set you have loaded. As written before, there is no sound set for the Pro Edition. Sibelius offer a free sound set editor on their web page. You could generate one yourself.
