  • VI 4.1.7303 problem

Hi! I-ve been a user of Vienna for about two years and only now have I run to my first real problem. I'm using a mac pro with os x 10.6.5. and Logic 8. I first installed the new VI version and after that the latest eLC (6.1.3.1046) software that includes the latest eLCC (2.0.10.1). But then when I tried to launch logic, it gave the following message: "An error has occurred with an installed Audio Unit plug-in. Logic Pro unexpectedly quit while trying to use the Audio Unit “Vienna Instruments” by “VSL”. This plug-in may require an update." Although it sain that Logic unexpectedly quit, it really didn't. It launched ok but I couldn't use VI. After this I threw the folder VI instruments (under the folder Applications) to thrash, deleted it and tried to install the old version of VI (2.1.5740) but the install program complained that it can't install this version, because a newer one is already installed. What should I do? I would like to use the new version of VI with my logic 8 but I'm not sure if it's possible. If it isn't, how can I reinstall the older version?

  • Well now I got it to work. I had to choose couple of times the 'reset & rescan selection'-option from Logic's Preferences -> Audio units manager menu and finally the new VI passed the validation.
