Right now, I have the 2 mac pros synced via logic and I offload some of the work to the second computer ie the woodwinds and a few other things. I've been thinking that perhaps I would be better off using the osx net midi and just triggering the sounds instead of running in sync mode. This would make tempo changes much easier. the audio is currently being sent to my main computer via an apogee duet -> apogee symphony. Another idea is to go with Ensemble pro which is why I suppose I am posting here. Does Ensemble Pro work inside my daw so that I can send audio via logic or does it run on its own platform ? I am worried that the Ensemble pro is not as robust as logic and it might crash or introduce audio artifacts if too many audio channels are used with the gigabit connection. I will also be running in 64 bit mode but I suppose this could change if Ensemble pro allows me to do the same without passing the 32 bit limit. I just bought my second Mac Pro and i'm not quite sure what the best approach would be. I do enjoy having some of the midi data on the second computer as I can see more but then again , as soon as I introduce tempo changes which I will be doing alot, the sync does not translate these temp tracks and I would have to export the tempo track to the second computer which seems cumbersome. Anyways, any help greatly appreciated. Richard
I should also add I do not own any vsl products. I use WIVI and LASS among other things so I am also worried about compatibility.
