  • Vienna Ensemble 64 bit

    Why the AU Bridge in Logic is opening if I add an AU-Vienna Ensemble 64bit. The AU-Bridge in Logic 9.1.3 is sometimes shutting down to be started new again and then VE is starting also again... I thought if a AU-Plug is 64bit, then we do not need any bridge support. When I start VI 64bit or VIpro 64bit then no bridge is starting. 

    The second thing: VE is not closing if I close a Logic project or Logic itself. I always have to quit the program seperately. Is that intended by your concept or is that a mistake?

    I have updated everything: E-Licenser, Vienna Softwares and so on....

  • I am not seeing that here. If I open an instance of the VE Pro 64 bit server, boot Logic Pro 9.1.3 in 64 bit mode, create a software instrument and go to the AU folder that is for 64 bit ones and instantiate it, then connect (decoupled) to the VE Pro server, the 32 bit bridge does not open.

  • I do not speak about VE Pro. I speak about VE 64bit.

  • Yes, since VE 4.1 there is. Both the AU and the VE Service application come in 32bit and 64bit, same as VE Pro.


  • Ok, we have made clear that there is VE in 64bit. But now to my problem? Is there an issue to solve my problem?

  • Guten tag.

    I just went to the download area to download the Vienna Ensemble (not Pro) latest version.  It wouldn't let me, and gave a message about it probably being removed.  Maybe something needs to be fixed with it?  I see that it says 32+64 bit for Mac.

    I'm using VE Pro, and the 64 bit is working with that version of VE.
