Glissandi Andi?

Hi Dave!
As you might have noticed, this doesn't work that way. ;-)
If you are talking about Chamber Strings, like in your other thread, you will have to use the portamento patch. If this is a Solo Violin, you can use one of the octave-gliss patches. I recommend using the octave-gliss patches. They will sound much better in this case.Best,

Thanks andi it looks like the solo violin octave gliss will have to do. Although it's a compromise. VSL is to good a company for compromise. Can nothing be done to enable better performance of glisses - in the long run I mean. I'm sure VSL can crack the problem.

Hi Dave!
You could also use the Orchestral Strings octave glissandi. If you try a bit, I think you can get the sound of a glissando over two octaves quite realistic. I can understand though, that you'd wish to have them available for the Chamber Strings too. It's impossible to record everything.
