PC hangs when starting sibelius playback with VE Pro

I've just downloaded the VE Pro demo with a view to purchasing if I can get it working before the demo runs out! My problem is that whenever I press play in my sibelius score, my pc freezes and becomes unusable. This happens when VSE Pro is connected, even when there are no instruments loaded in VE Pro. I can load an instrument in VE Pro and hit they keys on screen to generate sound ok, so the issue seems to be related to playback or midi somehow. My setup is as follows Sibelius First 6.2 VE Pro Demo Windows 7 x64 EMU 0404 USB audio interface All running on one pc. Any help much appreciated! thanks mark

Thanks for your interest in Vienna Ensemble Pro.
I couldn't find any registered Vienna Instruments in your account. Which instrument did you load?

Here is in short, what you have to do to use VE Pro with Sibelius:
1. Start VE Pro Server
2. Start Sibelius
3. Go to the Playback Devices menu and create a new Playback Configuration
4. Activate VE Pro
5. Click on Show and connect to the Server
6. Load the sound set you need and make channel and program settings on the Manual Sound Set page
7. Load instruments in VE Pro and make channel settings
8. Save your Playback configuration everytime you make settings or changes in VE Pro
