  • Could be a Solution for Problems with Kontakt 4.1.

    Hi all,

Start a new thread here, thinking this message deserves it. It seems I find the quite easy solution this late evening.

Removed two Librarys in Kontakt Player - The Trumpet and Ethno World 4. Both were registered under Programm (86x) = 32 bit. But both were updated and so I was thinking with the new nkx.files they are in 64 bit now. (My sample folder and nkx-files are on a seperate HD.)

It seems, it is not the case. After removing the libs everything in MIR with Kontakt works like a charme. Changed all and everything, projekts, output formats, venues - every save fast and stable.

So it seems the crashs belongs the past. But I will it confirm tomorrow again.

Hope that helps for others too.

    Kind regards

    Frank

  • [Y][Y][Y]!

... if this is really the culprit, it is at least pretty clear why we can't reproduce the error.

    Please keep us posted.

    Kind regards ,

  •  So, after sunday I can't say it for shure, weather the problem is solved -  but it works   m   u  c  h     better now.

With a lot of Kontakt instances in a projekt it is still a tad unstable. But out of proportion to before. Need much more tweaks and changes to provoke a crash on save.

In a template of 20 instances with mostly VI Pro, three Kontakt and two HSO instances smooth and stable - I'm  v e r y   happy. [:D][:D][:D]

Hope it will be stay so.

Want to give a try to use the Kontakt 32 bit-Version with jbridge at the first opportunity this weak. (I have it installed, but didn't use jbridge yet, so I have to read and look how it acts.)

And will contact the ni-support again. (Don't know exactly which library is really 64bit and couldn't find nowhere any information.)

If the 32/64 bit compatibility causing the issues, it would explained, why in Cubase on same computer I did'nt experience this problems - it has a 32bit bridge (and for the most VSTi-s it works.) VE pro is strictly parted and MIR straight 64bit. So, maybe...?

Btw, the purge/reload issue and "could not load plugin" message are stayed - but with the work arounds it's avoidable.

All told, now it works hunky-dory but not perfect - so we are partway at least.

    Kind regards

    Frank

  •  According NI support - the Library Path has nothing to do with the compability of 32/64 bit.

All librarys are 64 bit, if used Kontakt 64 bit.

Anyway, with the changes it works better for me, I wonder why now.
