ViennaEnsemble crashes - need an extra license?

Hi there! I've just installed my DVD package Special Edition Standard successfully! My licence is on a steinberg key. Now I downloaded Vienna Ensemble and installed it, but it doesn't work. Everytime I start "Vienna Ensemble" this error box appears: ----------------------------------------- Syncrosoft Lizenz Kontrolle Application "VSL" hat den folgenden Fehler verursacht: DCOM connection to program "synsopos.exe" failed. Error:Ausnahmefehler des Servers. ----------------------------------------- After this crash, none of the following programs can be started: - Syncrosoft License Control Center - Vienna Instruments Standalone Player - Vienna Ensemble - Vienna Ensemble Service - Sibelius 6 Do I need an extra license for ViennaEnsemble (not PRO)?? Or maybe my version of the Syncrosoft License Control Center ist too old (I installed it about one year ago together with Cubas LE)? Thanks for any kind of help,! Andreas

Syncrosoft doesn't exist any more. You should un-install it and install the successor, which is called the eLicenser. However, be aware that this will not install on some old Mac OS.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem. DG, you say to uninstall Syncrosoft and install eLicenser but as my key also contains my license for Cubase 4 I was wondering if there will be any "tranfering license" issues. I mean, will I still be able to start Cubase after that? Thanks

The licences on the dongle and the software on the computer to run the dongle are two separate entities. I am using the latest eLicenser running Nuendo 4 with no problems.
