  • Logic crashes when saved/long saving-times

I just build up a logic template with 5 VEP instances on Mac (2x2,9) and 5 on  a Dell i7 Slave.

When I´m saving a project, Logic crashes or needs endless time of saving.

I have the latest VEP Version.

    Thanks for help!

    Ritchie

  • Decouple all instances, and then save the viframes manually, or re-enable them before you shut down.

  • as the other guy says..... Decouple...

I would go as far as to say..... ALWAYS DECOUPLE

Perhaps decouple SHOULD be the default behavior

Hi Ritchie, could you send crash reports to ? Thanks.

  • First of all! Thanks for your quick replies. It´s good to know, that there is someone out there to hold your hand, when you stucked in serious troubles. And since I built up my Orchester Template in Logic I found out a lot about trouble.

Always decouple is an option, not the most convinient and I guess not in the sense of the inventor. So I always save the metaframe under the logicproject name, right? Saving every single instance as viframe is pain and is it really necessary, ´cause I have all the information in the metaframe, don´t I?

A function ´decouple all` like a member already proposed is a good one.

@Karel: I send you the crash reports. Do you mean the crash report right after the crash, or can I send you a .hang file from the diagnostic Reports as well. Cause I´m not sure if  I get a crash report, when Logic freezes, and most of the times this is the case.

    All the best. Ritchie

@Karel again: Well, now I also found a .crash file. I guess, this is the right one that I should send you?

  • Just send anything that you might think is applicable. I can filter through the useless ones rather quick ;)

No no no no no. I never decouple. But then again I don't use Logic. [;)]
