Hello, I am very much thinking to purchase VE pro this week. I am uncertain about how the network feature works and hoping someone can help me understand better.
In terms of the library itself (VSL Super pac) is it simply required that it be on a shared drive on the same GIGA LAN as the slave machines?
i.e. My Macpro is my main machine (12G,16 core). One of its internal drives is devoted to the library... My Macbook-pro (8G, 8 core) with firewire drives, is what I am considering to use as a slave ... but does the library (or portions there-of) need to be located on the Macbooks firewire drives also? How does that work?
Is VE pro more like working with logic nodes? I guess I am just not understanding what the slave is doing if it doesn't even need a souncard for example. (very cool if I got that part correct)
Thank you very much for your help!
Cheers!
Marty
