VSt Expression maps doesn't change properly

Hi, I'm using Special edition together with Cubase 5.5. Although in many cases the VST Expressions does work, sometimes it just refuses to change articulation during playback. For example: I have a passage with staccatos, and then I have two sforzando-note right after. When playing back, Cubase doesn't change to sforzando until the SECOND note, but when stopping playback and playing back from the first sfz-note it's changed. It seems Cubase is "too late" doing the change. Any ideas why this is happening?

Hello snattack!

Please notice that the sforzato articulation in Cubase will only change to the sforzato patch when standing alone or in combination with "arco". For example legato+sforzato will trigger legato and staccato+sforzato will trigger staccato.
