GC ENS PRO-CUBASE TEMPLATES
I'm just moving from Sonar to Cubase and am planning out my Templates in Cubase.I'm cheating here ,hoping for some "won't work" heads ups to save time. Deadlines ---What I'd like to do is as follows---I've set all of my Vienna Orchestral Instruments to Key Switch-Mod Wh Matrixes( ie Sectional Violas as a KS-MW Matrix , Clarinet as a KS-MW Matrix etc) and recently purchased Ensemble Pro.I want to load each of all of the individual Vienna Orchestral K.S.Matrixes into Ensemble Pro assigning, for example, Sectional Violins to midi Channel 9, Solo Violin to midi channel 10 and so on, then couple in Ens Pro each of these midi channel assignments to corresponding Stereo Outputs, assigning (ie) midi ch 9 & Stereo Out put 9, md ch 10 & st op 10 etc on up to 16 Midi Ch-Stereo Out combos, and then load and run Vienna Instruments that way through a Cubase 5 template.Vienna would run in Cubase projects in combination in with several other libraries. Those projects with that Vienna template instrument in tow would then be brought in their entirety back to Ensemble Pro and then on to the V Suite. Is there anything in this plan that won't work on the Vienna side of things? Thanks again in advance and for all of other help----g.c.

If I understand you correctly you are intending to use VE Pro as a kind of standalone template, but with the advantages of being a plugin. This is what I do, and it means changing projects, with the same instrumental setup, is very quick.
However, be aware that if this template changes at all you will have to do some housekeeping in order to make sure that the correct samples/settings are used for your project. I load a large Metaframe and then just leave it. I load any extras in Nuendo directly, so that these are saved with the project and don't affect my VE Pro template.
