    I have latest VE pro (7043) on a Win 7 box and also on a MacBookPro. 

    Setup 1: When I run Mac Pro as Host, and Win 7 as slave I can 'see' it and connect to it from the Mac. 

    Setup 2: When I run the Win 7 box as Host and Mac as slave, the Mac is not visible to the Win 7 box.

    I have different Libs and DAWs and Plugins on different boxes, hence the different networking setups.  (Ivory running in 32 bit server on Mac is one reason).

    I am not using fixed IPs but that does not seem to matter in setup1.

    Any suggestions?   thanks

     I found the problem...    Windows Firewall which I had instructed to allow VE Pro was, in fact, blocking it.
