Is there a step-by-step walkthrough for installing this as I keep running into problems. For example when starting sequencer (Sonar ) after installing vienna ensemble it just gets stuck on the VE scan interface and I have to roll back the operating system to get sequencer working agin. Support suggested that I download most recent ELCC but I have problems with that also. Have tried installing earlier version 2....installs OK but still sticks when opening sonar.
I have a 'clean' system in that it is only used for music so Sonar 8 and Finale 10 are installed along with all samples (on seperate drive), and thats pretty much it.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated

You should make sure to have the latest version of the eLCC installed and also make sure ALL your VSL products are updated to the latest version. Older and newer versions could cause a conflict due to a drastic improvement in the copy protection handling (no more vsldaemon). Hope that helps.

Thanks karel. Have just successfully updated to latest version of ELCC (thank God the vsldaemon will be no more)! Have removed all instances of vienna ensemble and will try and re-install later after any other updates. Thanks for help Jill@Karel said:

OK so after a complete uninstall...update...reinstall..the vienna ensemble is working well in both Finale and Sonar. There is an issue with it in Sonar .... strike that! With a new file all is well. With pre-existing files it won't play a sound whilst the interface is open. I guess I can always reload older files using the ensemble. Thanks Karel for the help. I'm impressed with this version as latency seems much improved.
