    Hello,

    For some reason Vienna Ensemble is not working for me (in Digital Performer nor by itself), but Vienna Instruments are (in DP and standalone). VE hangs on "scanning licenese" and eventually says "not connected."

    Everything seems to be updated (eLicenser, vienna instruments software, vienna ensemble software). There is a new update to DP I have yet to install though.

    I've also tried disk repair utility, restarting the computer, reinserting the dongle, and re-adding the sample folder to the directory manager.

    Any ideas? Should I reinstall VE?

    The Technical crew at VSL is scrambling to repair the software-I have noticed a degredation with my copies of the software since about August when I loaded in VI pro and VE pro-things that were working previous to the install of VI pro and VE pro  do not now. [:'(] This is symptomatic of unstable software-it causes other connected  functions to cease functioning with  repeatable output. 

    I know this will draw the wrath of God down on my head, but I am going to state that I believe VSL should broadcast an announcemnt to the community that states what is by now the obivous fact-the VI Pro release caused some system errors to spread across patches and the interface and into the user's operating system (only pertaining to VSL stuff, nothing else on the system is affected) and updates and patches will have to be installed to fix the situation.

    Thanks for the response.

    I see there is a new version of VE up. I will install that and see what happens.
