Sibelius 6 and VI Pro

Hi Andi,

I have downloaded a licence and VI pro set up file, but have not actually started using it / started the licence up yet, as I want to finish some music projects first, so I can spend some time with it.

Can it be used just like Vienna Ensemble in Sibelius also, using the soundsets for VE?

Hello Steve!

There will be a new version of Vienna Ensemble very soon. It will offer the possibility to host Vienna Instruments Pro. You can still use the same sound sets as before.

thanks for your answer. So, I just load up vi pro in sibelius, and go
to the soundsets, and load up VE in the sound sets and as long as I
have the same keyswitches as in VE special edition [or any of the
other sibelius soundsets that you can download], everything will work
the same in sibelius in regards to slurs = legato, staccato markings = staccato etc?

Hi Steve!

Just load VE and the sound sets with Sibelius like you are used to. In the new version of VE you will be able to load VI Pro instances additionally to normal VI instances. All notation marks will trigger keysitches like you are used to. If you don't want to wait a few more days, you can also try using VI Pro directly with Sibelius. Please be aware that VI Pro is not multitimbral. This means you will have to activate one VI Pro instance for every instrument.
