  • VI Pro - matrix: scales not selectable

[In VE Pro]... mostly does not work here, as per selecting tunings in 'matrix/scales'. so far, tried it with overdrive guitar, bass saxophone and flugelhorn.

OSX.6.4, build 6853 both VI Pro and VE Pro. On a slave, MacPro 2x quad 2.93. I have uninstalled via the uninstall app in VI Pro folder, and reinstalled, no change in this behavior.

-> another GUI problem, the matrix assign box does not accept a typed value for the ksw to change matrix, 'hit enter' just deletes the typing. midi learn has been the only way to assign. in fact a copied matrix usually loses the ksw from the original.

  • so far there are a couple of instruments that the scales (other than 12-tone) will apply to.

many, such as flugelhorn, bass saxophone, overdrive guitar, oboe d'amor, cornet, simply won't use it.

2nd edit: now, after installing Bb trumpet, the matrices that completely would not change from 12-tone are doing it just fine. I had assumed certain mixes of articulations were the culprit, but that's proven irrelevant. very strange. Solved I guess...

  • Nope. Older matrices still feature this refusal. entire metaframes that used the old VI fail to work with this. in these cases this works only with some new instantiations of VI Pro.

    EDIT

So far, new conversions to VI Pro are working. this seems to be a version conflict.

    >>>HUGE version conflicts. ridiculously unstable instances mixing versions: load channel preset, load channel set, duplicate channel to rebuild or move inserts to new instances. crash crash crash crash crash.

all afternoon trying to rebuild a vi frame. Giant PITA, wasted time.
