Sib 6, VE problem

Hi I had Sibelius abd VE working together, but I dan to reinstall Win 7 and now it does not work. VE is not showing up the the playback dialog even though I set the virtual instruments path to the VE folder. I have also tried creating a new folder and puting VE in it and adjusting the pathway appropriately, but it does not help Mark

Hello Mark!

Maybe you have set the path of the standalone software instead of the the plugin in Sibelius.

Hi Andi. I installed VE using the default path setting. As You cannot use the regular VST plugin folder as a path (it will try to load all vst effects) I made a folder called "Other Plugins." I checked after the install, and yes, it dlls were there. When I ran Sibelius, VE shows in the playback list, but you cannot select it. Nothing on the left side is selectable. Mark

Hello Mark!

You have to create a new Playback Configuration. Then you can activate the instruments in the available devices list.

Thanks Andi! You have no idea the time I spent on that 'bug' I am sorry that it took so long to reply, but I have been busy interfacing new instruments to VE. I will post again. Mark
