Hello,
I have two 8-core Mac Pros (Snow Leopard) configured as master-slave. The 64 bit VEP Server application (latest build) on my slave will not quit. I just get a spinning beach ball. This happens whether or not I am connected to the master or any network at all. The only way I can get the application to quit is to force quit.
Please help.

VEP 64 Server will not quit.

Update: Perhaps I was not letting the application have enough time to quit because after I let it go for around 25 minutes it quit OK. But this seems strange to me because it only takes about 5 minutes to load up all my samples. Is this normal behavior-- that the shut-down takes far longer than the start-up? If so, that's cool, I just want to make sure that something is not wrong. Best, MOH

Hi, Thanks for the reply. No I am using DP 7.2 and I have "decoupled" all my instances of VEP. When I quit DP I don't click "disconnect". Is that it? My precise specs are Master CPU: Mac Pro 8 Core, Snow Leopard, 10G RAM, Apogee Duet, DP 7.2 Slave CPU: Mac Pro 8 Core, 20 G RAM, Snow Leopard, Kontakt 4, Play 2 (EWQLSO), Trilian, Drum Core

Hi again It seems this may be a symptom of Kontakt. Apparently Kontakt takes ages to unload samples, even though load times are fairly quick. MOH
