    Tried to go up to the version 4.1.6853 of VE Pro today (still using regular VIs, not VI Pro).  Two computers:  Master is Mac Pro 8-core running OS 10.6.2, slave is a Mac quad-core running 10.6.3.  Been having no connectivity problems among the VE Pro instances when I was using version 4.0.6150.  However, when I upgraded, I found that old sequences hung when they tried to connect to large instances of VE Pro.  When I uninstalled the later version and restored the earlier, connectivity returned.  I'm using DP 7.2 in DAE mode with a PT HD Accel 3 system.  Which is an increasingly bad idea, I know.  But nevertheless...

    Peter,

    Do you have your networking settings set to "static IP" ? That threw me for a loop at one point, and I changed all machines to static IP and things have been much better.

    Also, are you using a gigabit switch? If not, it is advised.

    Also -- this may be related, some of us protools users are having crash issues related to Kontakt 4. Our temp fix is to run "uncoupled" and manually load saved metaframes.
