  • VI Pro - "right click" on mac laptop -- not the same as control-click for contextual ...

Testing VI Pro within VE Pro server on Macbook Pro with ProTools as host   [ anyone sick of everything called "pro" ;-) ]

The "right click" commands in the matrix editor (copy cell, etc...) are a nice addition, but it seems all contextual menus are now "true" right-click only,  and control-click to access contextual menus on the mac has been eliminated. Is this a decision by VSL or an oversight?

Right-click on a laptop trackpad w/ 2-fingers is carpal tunnel inducing, and really is a terrible interface choice by Apple. Can we also get control-click (standard mac OS contextual menu since beginning of time) restored to VI Pro, please?

    Thx

PS -- protools forced us to "right click" for certain commands, since control-click was in-use by other functions in the mix window. But control-click is not in-use in the in the matrix editor, so no conflicts, correct?

  • I have discovered that there is only one place in VIPro that behaves this way -- the main matrix window. If you control-click on a "patch cell", you get the same function as right-click. If you click on any parameter, you get the same function as right-click. However, if you control-click on a SLOT in the main matrix (such as A1, B1, etc) you do not get the copy/paste/clear commands -- only with true right-click.

I would image this is an oversight.

I will report as a bug.

    Thanks.
