Am I the only one using more than one network card in my master and slaves??? I got one master and three slaves which all have two network cards installed each (all Windows OS but different versions; XP, Vista, Win7). The reason for this is to let VE Pro on all computers have a isolated network on its own with no disturbing traffic at all while the secondary network cards resides on another network where regular network stuff like Internet and internal file sharing is handled.
Seems to me like an ideal way to be sure VE Pro gets maximum bandwidth.
My problem is that I'm having huge problems in getting this to work (especially with different versions of windows). I know how to make one network interface to get higher priority (metric) of another on the same computer but this still leaves me ending up with only one of the two installed interfaces being utilized for either VE Pro traffic or Internet traffic depending on which interface I choose to have the higher priority. I also realize that this probably can be solved with some advanced networking setups that I'm not aware of, but I want to believe there must be a lot of other users out there that wants what I want in an easy going solution.
This is where my feature request comes in. If VE Pro (both server and plugin) had an optional preference that allowed a user to choose a "preferred network interface for VE Pro" in the case when more than one is available , the problem would be easily solved! Just make the Internet and file sharing network interfaces the higher priority and then choose the dedicated network interfaces for VE Pro as the "preferred network interface" in VE Pro.
So again, am I really alone in trying to utilize more than one network interface on each computer to optimize VE Pro?
