Aaaaargh this is just great. VE Pro crashed when I chose "Save Metaframe" and apparently that screwed up the file.
Forgive me, but this is childs wisdom for programmers that you should ALWAYS write to a temporary file, then when it saved ok, you can rename it to the file you are overwriting! I can't believe this just happened....
