  • The Browser

I bought the downloadable Flute last year.  It shows up in the browser under Download Instruments/Woodwinds/03D Flute-2.  The “Download Instruments” heading is totally extraneous, and just one more thing to expand.

The Flugelhorn I downloaded with VI Pro on the other hand, shows up under "C – Brass", which makes perfect sense.

Is there a way to change the Flute, and get rid of the “Download Instruments” heading?

  •  Hi Bill,

there are three different folder structures for our instruments, because you can get three different versions at least for the wind instruments.

    - the big complete versions, usually all the DVD collections and also the download instruments which are not reduced in their content, like Flugelhorn, Bb trumpet, Bassoon II, Guitars, Upright Bass

    - the medium collections, like all other single download instruments

    - the smaller collections, based on all Special Edition editions

It's important, that the same instrument, like the flute does not appear in the same folder structure twice or more. There are users, who starts with the Special Edition, upgrade to single download instruments, and later to the DVD collections. In this case it's also important that the folder structure of these three categories looks different, so that you can easely find the right category.

I see that it could look a little strange, if you just have two download instruments of two different categories like Flugelhorn and Flute, but if you expand your libraries you would see the whole picture.

  •  But the Flugelhorn IS a  download instrument.

  •  Why full versions of those particual instruments, and not others, or all all of them?
