  • Using VI or VI Pro with Sibelius

Hello, I'm using the VSL Special Edition with Sibelius 6. What would be the imporvements for me, if I switch to Vienna Instruments Pro? Will I hear a difference (without tweaking lots of parameters)? Heiko

  • No. The samples are the same it's only the player which is different. The main point of VI Pro is to give you a lot greater control over using the samples. It gives you lots more paremeters to tweak and so you will need to do more tweaking to get a better performance than you can with the current VI. The actual sample base is still the same.

  • Hello HeiPet!

Out of the many improvements there is one, that can be heard without having to adjust anything - the polyphonic legato. Now you can play more than one voice under a slur.

You can get a free demo version of VI Pro here:

  • Thanks, Andi. One more question: is the built in reverb of any use for me with Sibelius? (I'll try anyway, but it would be nice, if you could answer me as well) Heiko

  • Yes. You can use the built in reverb with every host.

    Best,

    Andi
