As Flugelhorn appears as a brass instrument in the Vienna Instruments,

don't you think that "Sound Sets Vienna Ensemble Download Wind Instruments (Sibelius 5.2 or higher)"

could be a bit misleading?

As far as I know the term "wind instruments" includes woodwinds and brass instruments.

 You are right! It was a fault in my reading.

For the sake of poor readers like me, maybe the two lines should have the same definition (both Woodwinds + Brass or Wind)

Hi Andi,

Another question this time regarding the Flugehorn. I purchased it with VI Pro and also downloaded the Winds soundset for Sibelius 6.2 which contains the Flugelhorn soundset. There is a readme file that says to load the included preset file (that came with the soundset) into the instance of VI I am using in a VE Pro instance. I cannot find where to do this on VE Pro, however it is easily found on the standalone version of VI. I also cannot work out how to load the preset into VI Pro (either inside VE Pro or as stanalone).

I own SE, SE Plus and Euphonium DL Instrument, and I usually just load the matrix file for any instrument I need. The Flugelhorn has a number of matrix's instead of a single one, so I am confused what I should be loading into the VI/VI Pro instance in order to get the correct playback of the soundset. Do I need the preset or can I just load one of the matrixs?

Hello Erin!

Please notice that VI Pro has a fixed location for the VSL Custom Data folder. If this one is different from your previous Custom Data folder, please also copy the presets that came with the sound set to the VI Pro "VSL Custom Data" folder. It is located in the shared documents folder. The matrices that come with the Flugelhorn (or with the Euphonium) will not work with the "VE Woodwinds+Brass" sound set.
