  • [SOLVED] VEP Can't find libraries

Vienna Ensemble Pro won't load all of my downloaded libraries. They all show up in the directory manger but aren't showing up inside the application. Any suggestions?

    Welcome hornk77,

I see that you have registered your collections in May 2010 - so I also assume that you had it working already! What changed?

My guess: Your sample content is not available anymore, where it used to be. Open the Directory Manager, remove all folders and assign your sample content again by drag and drop.

Another guess: You forgot to update your software, so that the licenses are not recognized. Please use the latest eLCC and the latest VSL Software.

    Best,

    Paul

  • It was working just fine. All of my DL libraries are recognized with the exception of FL and OB. I'll give that a shot and get back to you.

    thanks

  • Still not recognizing Flute 1, Flute 2, and French Oboe. Should I try re-installing them?

  • Hi,

that would only be helpful if the data got corrupted.... and that´s rather rare. You can confirm that you have the latest software? And you have already restarted your machine and did the remove and re-assigning of the right sample content folders.

Would be interesting to know what happened when this stopped working.

    Best,

    Paul

  • Figured it out. All software was already up to date. The missing libraries didn't have licenses on my eLicenser anymore. Not sure how they got removed. I just re-entered Auth #s for the missing libraries and re-downloaded the licenses to the eLicenser. All is working now.

    thanks

  • I'm experiencing the same problem. The matrix and patches are showing up but no sound is coming out, and the presets aren't showing up at all. I've made sure that my copy is activated through the eLicenser and that I have the latest version. I tried removing and adding back the sample content in the directory manager (all while VSL was closed). I'm wondering if I assigned the sample content to the right destination? It's in my downloads at the moment. Although it doesn't say that anything is wrong in the directory manager, I can't think of any other reason why it isn't working.

Please get back to me as soon as possible

    Welcome Akira Haseba,

The best idea for specific questions is always to contact us directly via support@vsl.co.at, with a few screenshots and a short description of your setup and of the problem.

In your case, I can see that you have purchased the Special Edition Volume 1 PLUS, which contains additional articulations for the standard Special Edition Volume 1, which are added to the already existing presets that get installed with Special Edition Volume 1.

So the best way to go is to upgrade to the Special Edition Volume 1 Bundle, this way you will also have the basic articulations (staccato, sustain, legato...) available, which come with Special Edition Volume 1.

    Best,
    Paul
