MIR & ReaRoute ASIO driver (x64)
-
Hi Elia,
we've never tested ReaRoute, but in principle there is no limitation whatsoever from our side regarding ASIO drivers - as long as they are 64bit compatible and offer latency values with powers of two (128, 256, 512, ...)
Maybe our developers can look into it as soon as time allows. Is ReaRoute shareware, or does it come as part of a commercial bundle?
Kind regards,

Hello Dietz, ReaRoute virtual ASIO driver (Windows 32 or 64 bit) is an optional component of Cockos Reaper (32 or 64 bit), commercial Mac/PC DAW at http://www.reaper.fm/ (http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/aug09/articles/reaper3.htm) . Obviously ReaRoute is an integrated component of Reaper that will be used for audio routing. (This does not need to have (in MIR PC) two sound cards or a multi-client sound card). Reaper can simply centralize audio routing of various independent ASIO compatible programs through ReaRoute component. MIR require audio device with ASIO 2.9 compatible drivers for 64-bit systems. I'll try to check the ReaRoute ASIO version and also Vista64 OS. Thanks Elia

I was able to verify that the problem (ASIO ReaRoute invisible) is general and on VSL software (Vienna Imperial64, Vienna Ensamble64, MIR / MIR SE). This occurs in Windows XP 64 (no MIR), Vista64 SP2 Business, Windows7 64 Pro. Of course I see 64-bit ReaRoute ASIO driver with other applications (Hauptwerk 64-bit).

Hi is there any news about this ?
I'm on windows 7 64 and I'm currently not able to route output from VE or VI to reaper with rearoute, because as already stated, vsl software doesn't show rearoute between the output audio devices
I tried 64 and 32 versions of both programs.
My goal is : sibelius > loopbe > vsl > rearoute > reaper, since it seems that also sibelius can't see the rearoute device ...
At the moment I succeded in the following paths :
1) sibelius > loopbe > kontakt+ewqlso > rearoute > reaper
2) notion 3 SLE-VSL > rearoute > reaper
But i really need to use sibelius and vsl in realtime, treack by track ...
Thank you very much
