• Hi Steve,

thanks for your interest in MIR SE!

Like always, the Presets have to be seen as starting points for your own creations, depending on your needs. As long as your system is powerful enough, you can add as many samples to an instrument as you like.

The only limit to keep in mind is the maximum number of 32 instruments within MIR SE (opposed to 128 in Vienna MIR).

  • Hello!

So far MIR-SE is a thing of pure beauty for me, and I guess I'll upgrade to MIR or MIR Pro some day. [Y]

Today I tried to buy RoomPack 3 (Steinhofkirche), but the BUY button is greyed out, and below I read:

"This product requires the Vienna MIR."

But on the MIR-SE page I read:

"3 rooms of the Vienna Konzerthaus (Grosser Saal, Mozartsaal, Neuer Saal) with 2 microphone positions each. RoomPack 2 and RoomPack 3 offering additional acoustic spaces are available for download."

    Is this a typo?

    All the best

    Michael

  • Hi Michael,

that's not a typo, you just caught us (especially me [A]) by surprise.

For Mir SE, the additional roompacks have to be adopted (it's the same content, just file handling issues) - I think we'll get that done until the end of the week.

    Sorry for the inconvenience, Florian

  • Hi,

just another question. Will we be able to download it and try it out as with other products?

    thanks and best,

    Steve.

  • Are the MIR SE presets also available for MIR users? I have both: MIR and Special Edition (and more). So having some presets could make my life easier in some ways ;)

Do you mean MIR SE or the RoomPacks?

  • Hi Dietz,

Thank you for your reply and information. In regard to my last post, what I was meaning the MIR SE, and I was not thinking or meaning a reference to the actual room packs. The only reason I asked if we can download it for a trial period, is that you can do that with  the full MIR version.

In regard to the room packs you mentioned, the thought of them did not come into my mind, just the idea of the download of the SE MIR.

But in thinking about them now, if one downloaded them, I would only be expecting the room packs that are designated to the SE MIR version.

That's what I understand though. Please inform me if I am not understanding something correct in regard to this though.

Thank you for your help with this.

    best,

    Steve[:)]

  • Hi  Dietz,

Its great- there is a demo download,  but I would just like to know how many megabytes in the download. I have gone over my months allocation of bandwidth and I had to pay a top up fee to get some more, so I have to be careful what I download until my bandwidth goes back to it's monthly default allocation.

Thanks if you could let me know.

    best,

    Steve[:)]

  • Hi Steve, all file sizes are shown directly on the download page in your User Area, to the left of the download button:

    -> http://vsl.co.at/en/68/428/709/1916/1559.htm

You need the MIR engine itself, the Trial RoomPack Installer, and the manual.
