My latest build of VE Pro (6150) sometimes drops the connection to an instance I have loaded. I'll be playing some notes, then all of a sudden they aren't sounding anymore. When I call up the server interface window, it confirms that the instance is not connected anymore. This happens on all of my machines (localhost and any available slaves).

VE Pro losing connection to instances
-
Hello Kevin,
this sounds like a network problem to me rather than a VE PRO problem. Did it work before? In which configuration? If it worked before, what changed, apart from the VE PRO version? What are the specs of your machines? Is there a reliable way to reproduce this?
Thanks for the additional information.
Best,
Paul

This problem is relatively new (it worked before), and in the exact same configuration that I have had in the past (i.e. nothing has changed in my setup).
I've got a Mac Pro dual core Xeon 2.66Ghz with 13GB of RAM as my main machine, running on a gigabit ethernet connection with cat 6 cables.. I have 7 instances loaded on it, and at the time I wrote my post, VE Pro had lost connection to 2 of the 7 instances, forcing me to reconnect and reload the instances.
There is no reliable way that I know of to reproduce this - it just "happens" out of the blue.

No, I've been using DHCP without any problems (up until now). Besides, that shouldn't matter - the computer doesn't reassign itself an IP address during the middle of a session.

Please help, I've got the same problem using the latest VE Pro release (April 11/2011) via localhost.
Like Kevin said it came "out of the blue" after having worked smoothly for a long time.
Any suggestions please!
Thank you!
Michael
