having serious issues with Mac Pro latest Snow Leopard version Intel Duo Core Xeon Dual Core 2.66GHZ 13 gigs of ram....
VEP scans for content literally forever... makes zero sense... Ive run the below steps probably 10 times today... I've reinstalled the library... following all proper mac protocol for permissions and rebooting..
this is a SERIOUS issue and I am hoping its just stupid user error as it seems most everyone else solves the issue with the below steps.. someone? anyone? HELP!? :)
Also....only instrument i have is epic orchestra and i am only planning to run other VI's...
ive even tried loading with 0 content in the directory manager and it stills scans madly for content!
followed the steps listed:
- reboot, then run viennaUninstall from applications
- delete all receipts for Vienna, the related .pkg files from /Library/Receipts/
- trash the preference files if existing from /Library/Preferences/ com.vsl.vsldirs1.plist, com.vsl.vslfrontend.plist, com.vsl.appPresets.plist
- empty your computer's trash, reboot, repair permissions on the system volume
- now re-install Vienna Instruments and/or Vienna Ensemble software
(download and use the latest version for intel)
- for security repair permissions again - launch directory manager and add the locations where your sample content resides (easiest method using drag & drop from a finder window)
